Our House

Ryan and I have spent a lot of time working outside this summer. My mom and I planted this flower garden a while back. This picture really doesn't show how pretty it really is though. We (mostly Ryan and my dad) finished our deck. They did a great job-it's so nice to have shade in our back yard. It's so beautiful.

The flowers are blooming in the front as well. My day lily is my favorite.

A Prom Date Picture...

I went to check on Lilly about an hour after she went to sleep and I found her fast asleep on her potty chair. I had to take a quick picture before tucking her back into bed. Sorry sweetie. I will take this picture down before you're old enough to do it yourself. Mommy loves you.

Happy Birthday, Jacob....

THE BIRTHDAY BOY TURNS SEVEN...

We had a pretty relaxed day. Nana and Grandpa came over. We had some Bionicle cake and grilled hot dogs. Then after tearing Jacob away from his Lego's for a bit we went bowling. Jacob won. Big time. Then it was back home for more Lego building. Now he's relaxing again after building every single set he got today (4)! It was a good day, but we still can't believe he's 7!!!

Last Night...

Lilly was having trouble sleeping last night. She was afraid to sleep in her room and she wanted Jacob to hold her hand. So he, being the sweetheart that he is, fixed her a sippy cup of milk, got out his sleeping bag, and put her to sleep. He did all of this on his own. When I went in to check on them around 10:00, this is what I saw. In the process he fell asleep as well. So they both slept in this incredibly small sleeping bag on Jacob's floor last night. It must have been a rough night for him-he's still asleep and it's almost 9:00!

Our First Horseback Ride.....

Going to visit the farm at Grandma and Grandpa's house is sooo much fun!
We got to ride J.J., and now we are trying to convince our parents to let us have a horse for our back yard.

Breakfast Fit For A Princess

Saturday morning I found Lilly putting on her princess dress and looking for her "glass slippers". She has been looking forward to this princess breakfast for weeks. She had so much fun talking to Tinkerbell and watching all of the princesses sing and dance. It was fun to see her get a chance to have a very girly morning.
Jacob was a good sport. Actually, I think he had almost as much fun as Princess Lilly did.

Some entertainment after all the hard work!

The kids enjoyed going to the Zoo. although the weather was a little down, getting to see the Lions, Monkeys and other animals is always fun. Jacob's favorite was watching the monkeys. Lilly has always loved the monkeys. I think that the monkeys like the kids too.

And of course, what would a trip to the zoo be if you didn't see Lions, Kangaroos and brightly colored birds.
