Lilly's New House

This Time Of Year....

Lilly spent last Saturday decorating a gingerbread house while Jacob went to a friend's house. She used the rule: a piece for the house, a piece for me....

These were taken at our church last Friday. We decorated the Town of Bethlehem, and we played the part of the governor's mansion. Lilly was the princess, Ryan and I were servants, and Jacob was the Governor -a part he played well! They had a lot of fun trading for things at the shops and having people bow to them and give them tax money.

Jacob's Song

This is one of the songs that Jacob learned for his school Christmas Program. If you're wondering why Lilly is covering her face the whole time, it's because I asked her to wash her face before I took her picture. I guess that she decided if I couldn't see it, it was considered clean.

Being kids...

Lilly decorating the tree...
And absolute proof that every now and then we do manage to get Lilly's hair combed and in a hair clip. However, most days it looks more like it has been hit by a light socket.

Future Employees?

This morning we took the kids to the building clinic at Home Depot. They each got to build a wagon. They did a great job-only one thumb got smashed (Ryan's).

Catching up...

Well, since I managed to forget my camera on Thanksgiving Day as well as at Jacob's Christmas program, ( I know, I know) I thought I would bring it with us to the Children's Museum today, and make sure I finally took some pictures. I'm glad that I did too. Jacob, as always, had creativity oozing out of his pores. He made this rocket from scraps he found in the recycling bin. The museum asked if they could take his picture for their Facebook page. So for those of you who Facebook, it should be on The Climbing Tree Children's Museum page in a couple of days. This TOTALLY made his day. When we came home he told Ryan that he was going to be famous. Nice to know it didn't go straight to his
head ....

Lilly had a great time as well. She painted, tried on the outfits and even gave us a puppet show. I like this picture. She was in the middle of saying "Blue's Clues".
