Making a little music

After dinner tonight, Grandpa and Jacob got out their guitars and made a little music for us to enjoy. Jacob has been learning some chords from Grandpa and is showing interest in learning how to play. Grandpa tells him that there are 3 things to remember when playing the guitar---Practice, Practice, Practice.

As long as Jacob does what Grandpa says, he should be playing soon.

One Fish, Blue Fish. . . or One Fish, Two Fish?? Something like that---

Away we go, to the Dr. Suess story telling show!!!
Target stores have a "Read across America" campaign going on. Our local store had a Dr. Suess story show.
With a big Horton backdrop and the Grinch sitting next to them, the store associates read Dr. Suess stories from 9 to 11, (those poor tongue tangled store associates!)

But, the kids thoroughly enjoyed kicking back in bean bags, listening to every one of those stories. For Crystal, it was a flashback to story times with Jacob when he was younger. It was a great time for us all.

Today's Accomplishments...

We got some SNOW! So, we all headed outside to build Sammy the Snowman. This is Sammy's before picture (before Lilly stole his arms for her snowman, and before Bubba ate his nose).
And then we moved on to bigger things. We built an igloo (sort-of). Well, Jacob and I built it, until he went in for a snack, drink and movie. I worked on it for a couple of hours before calling it good enough. It might not have a roof, but we're not real Eskimos anyway.... ( though Jacob disagrees).

Maybe I Should Have Been Paying More Attention...

At least she's washable....

Lilly Picasso decided to do a little redecorating while I was busy with the laundry in the other room. There are little red footprints to the fridge and back to the living room. There are little red hand prints on the table and walls. But despite literally being caught red handed, she insists that it wasn't her fault. Must have been that dog again.
